Sucheta Chowdhury has completed her schooling from Bidhannagar Municipal School and then joined Vidyasagar college with Psychology (Hons.) Then she earned her Master Degree from the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and went on to pursue her M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology. Later she upgraded her qualifications by earning Certificates in Career Counselling and Play Therapy. She further pursued her Diploma Programme in Psychiatric Counselling from Girindra Sekhar Clinic, managed by the International Psychoanalytical Society (IPS)

In her practice Sucheta’s forte is Psychometric Assessments (including IQ and personality assessment), Neuro-developmental disorder assessment, assessment of Geriatric difficulties and Assessment for Addictions.

She prefers to work with an eclectic approach whereby she can use techniques and methods which are most suitable for a particular Client.Which can also be described as the client centred approach, by bringing in the best techniques of CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) alongside the Psychodynamic approach. For children though she currently prefers to use play therapy.

Sucheta enjoys cooking. In her spare time (which she hardly has any) she enjoys reading books, her favourite genre being Indian mythology. She also loves to listen to Rabindra Sangeet and Bengali folk songs along with Kirtans.
